The publication accompanied the exhibition ”White as the Colour of Snow. Tadeusz Kantor and the Artists from the Cricot 2 Circle. Rome 1979” organized by Cricoteka on the occasion of the centenary of the avant-garde in Poland. It is a creative reconstruction of the exhibition of works by Tadeusz Kantor and his close associates, which took place in Rome in 1979 at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni. The publication brings together the historical background of the Roman exhibition by Tadeusz Kantor and the artists from the Cricot 2 circle (Maria Jarema, Maria Stangret-Kantor, Zbigniew Gostomski, Kazimierz Mikulski, Andrzej Wełmiński and Roman Siwulak) and measures the specificity each of them, putting it into the broader context of avant-garde art.
