Fathers the final stage of the Cricot 2 Theatre: “The Theatre of Death”.
The Dead Class has its premiere at the Krzysztofory Gallery in Cracow (November 15).
The “Human Reservation” drawings exhibition held at the Desa Gallery in Cracow. Mounts a retrospective exhibition, “Emballages”, at the Museum of Art in Łódź and at Kulturhuset in Stockholm.

Triumphant launch of The Dead Class tour followed by enthusiastic reviews.
The Cricot 2 Theatre shows The Dead Class across Poland and abroad –
at the Museum of Architecture in Wrocław, at the College of Arts in Edinburgh, at the Theatre Arena in Cardiff, at the Riverside Studios in London, at the Krzysztofory Gallery in Cracow, and at Pawilon Wystawowy Stowarzyszenia Architektów Polskich in Warsaw. Individual exhibitions “Emballages 1960-76” at the Whitechapel Art Gallery in London and at the Galerie Ricard in Nuremberg.

Presentations of The Dead Class at Mickery Theater in Amsterdam, at Messehaus in Nuremberg, at Theater in der Garage in Erlangen, at Festival Mondial du Théâtre in Nancy, at the Krzysztofory Gallery in Cracow, at the University Gymnasium in Shiraz, at the BITEF – 11 Festival in Belgrad, at Théâtre National de Chaillot in Paris, at Théâtre National Populaire in Lyon – Villeurbanne, at Théâtre Populaire des Fland in Lille, at Halle de Schaerbeck in Brussels, at Akademie des Beaux Arts in Ghent, and at the Stodoła Club in Warsaw.
Individual exhibition of drawings (1947 – 1977) at the Galerie Ricard in Nuremberg.
Participates in the exhibition “Documenta 6” in Kassel.
L’Age d’Homme publishing house in Lausanne releases a volume of T.Kantor’s theatrical papers: Théâtre de la Mort with Denis Bablet’s foreword (followed by translations to few other languages).

International jury grants T. Kantor the Rembrant Prize of the J. W. Goethe Foundation in Basel.

Rome’s (Palazzo delle Esposizioni) premiere of the next Cricotage Where Are Last Year’s Snows (restaged 1982-1984 in France, Great Britain, Switzerland and Poland).
Individual exhibitions of paintings at Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome and at Palazzo Reale in Milan. Invited with the Cricot 2 Theatre by the city of Florence from November 1979, where he creates the performance Wielopole, Wielopole.
