The performance was inspired by the career of Nora Ney, a Polish star of pre-war cinema born in Podlasie (and most of all by her changeable life events). A great celebrity, the suddenly interrupted streak of luck and success, her difficult womanhood and finally the bitter end of the actress’s life. What is the beauty of life? Eternal health, staying active and a streak of continued successful events? Or is it being able to endure despite occurrences hindering the dreams and plans we believed in only a moment before? The Beauty of Life is an international project prepared especially for the project East of Culture / Another Dimension. Created and performed by artists from Poland, Spain and Belarus.

Karolina GARBACIK
A choreographer, cultural animator and dancer. Graduate of the Postgraduate Studies in Dance Theory at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music. Lecturer at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, Professional Instructor Course for modern dance instructors in Białystok and the Czesław Niemen Dance and Song College in Białystok.  Founder and owner of DanceOFFnia (Studio for Creative Activities) and member of the Board of the Podlasie Dance Association. As choreographer she produced several dozen dance performances. Karolina Garbacik collaborates with Polish theatres including: the Bialystok Puppet Theatre (Karnawał zwierząt, Mikrokosmos. Kompozycje), the Maska Theatre in Rzeszów (Sklep z zabawkami), the Banialuka Theatre in Bielsko-Biała (Pierścień i Róża). She is the initiator and organizer of art projects by the Podlasie Dance Association (Kalejdoskop Festival, Free Mind Festival). As dancer Garbacik performed with the Project Dance Theatre and took part in numerous other dance projects. She took part in the University of Performing Arts project of the Silesian Dance Theatre in Bytom.
