Cricoteka invites you to the Miho Iwata’s dance performance.

 

 

The Artist comes from Japan. After studying in Kyoto, she came to Krakow in 1986 and since then is inextricably linked with the city. She is known for her performance art, whose origins are in the avant-garde Japanese Butoh dance theater, with which she had her first contact during the show of the prominent butoh dancer Daisuke Yoshimoto in Mandala Theatre in Krakow. Through this meeting, decided to creative her own performances  and in 1994 her first show  premiered in Krzysztofory Gallery. Since 2003 he has focused on performances based on improvisation in the environment outside the theater. She cooperates with foreign artists from various fields, such as music and painting. She is also involved in social activities. Documentation of performances “A Thousand Dreams 2 III 2003” and “Touch – Blade of Grass 2006” have been purchased for the Kolekcji Małopolskiej Fundacji Muzeum Sztuki Współczesnej „Znaki Czasu”. She presents his work both in Poland and abroad.
