Rollercoaster 2025 Fiesta – Dance Presentation Program

Rollercoaster is a dance presentation program organized by Cricoteka and Krakow Dance Theatre. This year, curators Paweł Łyskawa and Eryk Makohon will invite audiences to experience dance performances by both Polish and international artists. We have premieres, special meetings, and unique shows ahead—events that, we hope, will give us all a much-needed boost of positive energy in these challenging times.

The events of recent years have brought widespread exhaustion and sadness. The lingering effects of COVID isolation, the economic crisis, war at our borders, the migration crisis, and societal polarization are just a few of the difficulties we face. That’s why this year’s program focuses on the positive. We aim to create a space for shared experiences of joy, affirmation, and celebration. While we won’t shy away from difficult topics—often hidden behind humor, satire, and irony—we will always seek hope within them.

We are thrilled to announce the theme of this year’s Rollercoaster edition: Fiesta!

The full program will be announced soon. In the meantime, we invite you to a special preview event that will introduce this year’s lineup:

February 7, 2025 – Friday, 6:30 PM

Tickets: 50/30 PLN

Maciej Kuźmiński’s Four Seasons is a celebration of life depicted in a kaleidoscope of images, unraveling in a mesmerizing and complex dance composition. Created for the company of seven dancers of Central Europe Dance Theater, one of the oldest dance theaters in Hungary, the work brings on stage the most characteristic elements of Kuźmiński’s choreographic style, together with new endeavors into reinterpreting Folk tradition. In its ever-morphing structure, Four Seasons weave Nature and Culture, rebirth and return, becoming a wider metaphor for life as flux.
