A Bench on the Road

On February 20, 2015 in Summerhall -Edinburgh there took place the presentation of the first phase work results on the Bench on the Road show, according to the script by Laura Pasetti – an author and actress connected with Piccolo Teatro. The spectacle is built based on archival materials and analyses the whole range of aspects connected with Italian immigration to Scotland from women’s point of view, showing their key role in the migration and integration in 1850/1950 period.

Teresa & Andrzej Welminski, the leading actors  of the Cricot 2 Theatre keep working on further development and dramatization of this work.

Outstandingly vocally gifted actresses are involved in the project giving the musical form to the whole with some much moving both Scottish and Italian songs.
